DANCE PROJECT

The year 2016 brought a special event.
Before that (in 2013) my life had suddenly changed due to a stroke of fate. It was then that I learned that a very close family member had cancer. Even after 3 years such an experience does not let go of you and gives you one or two sleepless nights. One night I got the idea to organize a benefit dance concert in honor of cancer research in Heidelberg. The whole concept came about in just one night. I knew immediately what and whom I needed. Whether drinking, eating, location, sponsors, insurance, advertising or GEMA. The next morning I put everything on paper. A few days later, I made an appointment with the local mayor. I presented my project to him and he was thrilled.
Now the search for sponsors could begin. Since I was still a minor at the time, my mother came with me. She was a great support during that time. After we had found the sponsors it was time to win an association to support the benefit evening. The "HARDTSEEGUGGA", the Guggemusik from Ubstadt, immediately agreed to support me that evening and issue the donation receipts. When that was done I took care of the drinks, the food and a graphic designer.
When these hurdles were over, I asked numerous dancers and dance groups from all over Baden-Württemberg. Of course, such an event also includes a band. Now there was one last hurdle before the evening could come. I kept it a secret from my papa for half a year because it was a surprise to him. When I finally told him at a friend's hen party with a little dance show, he was speechless and touched. Now we could start.
My first benefit dance concert took place on October 7th, 2017. It was a complete success because we were able to raise 7,000 euros for cancer research in a single evening

After a lot of positive feedback from the last benefit concert, I decided to organize a second one. This time the donations should go to the children's hospice in Karlsruhe. The benefit dance evening took place on October 12, 2019. 4000 euros were collected, which the company Vistex from Walldorf doubled to 8000 euros.

I thank everyone who supported me and stood behind me. A special thank you goes to my family, friends and of course to the Hardtseegugga.
